Florida Nation Scholarship Application
We offer need-based scholarships for the $200/month program. We do not ask for bank statements or SSNs. You may qualify by meeting any one of the criteria below. Information is private and reviewed by a small committee. Awards depend on available funds.
Scholarship FAQ
Who is the scholarship for?
Girls in grades 1–11 enrolled in Florida Nation programs. Travel starts locally at 4th grade; elite circuits run 6–11.
Does this include travel teams?
Yes. Scholarships apply to developmental programs and travel teams (grades 4–11), including elite circuits
What does the scholarship cover?
Tuition/program fees (up to your award amount), and
Team uniforms (credit toward the current season’s uniform package).
Note: Tournament travel/lodging and personal gear (e.g., shoes) are not covered unless your award email says otherwise.
How much can we receive?
Need-based tiers: Full $200, Half $100, or Partial $50 per month.
How long does an award last?
Typically 3 months, with a quick renewal form after.
When are applications due?
Apply by the 25th; decisions by the 1st of the month.
What do we need to qualify? (choose any ONE)
Self-attest to Free/Reduced Lunch, SNAP, WIC, or Medicaid, or
A short school/counselor/coach note, or
Household income bracket (no exact income), or
Brief hardship (e.g., job loss, medical bills, housing).
Do you require documents like bank statements or SSNs?
No. Self-attestation is acceptable. A small committee reviews applications privately.
What else do you consider besides need?
Attendance plan, good academic standing/conduct, and brief short-answer responses.
How are awards decided?
Reviewers score applications with a simple rubric (need + commitment + standing + responses) and match awards to the budget.
What if we’re waitlisted?
We’ll notify you; openings go to waitlisted families based on score and available funds.
Can an award be adjusted or revoked?
Only for major attendance issues, conduct violations, or inaccurate information—after communication and problem-solving attempts.
